Was just thinking about the fact that it's already been 15 years since I've graduated from high school. Oh my gosh, I AM OLD! Where did all those years go? It just doesn't even seem possible that all of that time has passed...it was like the blink of an eye. It is true that the older you get, the quicker time flies by. But my, have there been a million changes in my life since then. Take a look and see...these are some of my milestones...
1990 graduated
1990 got my first full-time job, and am still employed there
1992 got married
1993 had my first son
1994 lost my mom
1995 had my second son
2002 went back to school
2003 left the ex
2003 met my current love
2005 lost my dad
My life, as is everyone else's after 15 years, has completely changed. While I miss so many things like; hanging with Peanutt every day after school (eating our wonderful combo of Cool Ranch Doritos, Hershey bars, and drinking Mountain Dew), watching Santa Barbara, playing Atari...LOL I miss my WHOLE family being together all the time. (It's very rare for ALL of us to hang out anymore). I miss my mom making me some of my fav. dinners....fried chicken and pork chops, spaghetti (mine are all very good...but they just aren't moms!) I miss just cruising around after school, and going to the park EVERY SINGLE DAY! Sometimes, I miss NOT having responsibilities dammit. Kids never realize just how good they have it! I certainly never thought twice about it! Until I grew up...
Now, I realize that my mom was very strict for a reason. I realize that you have to work hard for anything and everything that you want out of life. I now see, that even though there are many trials and tribulations throughout the course of your life...you get back, in tenfold the effort you had to put forth.
I've accomplished alot these past 15 years! Have learned alot too. I've learned that I can make it all by myself. That I don't have to EVER settle for something that doesn't make me truly happy. That, no matter how bad it may seem, there will always be a light at the end of the tunnel.
I have 2 wonderful little boys...a man that I'm very much in love with...the truest and most loving friends...the list goes on...
So, I guess my little evaluation of where I'm at and where I've been, just proved that my life ain't so bad. In fact, it's pretty damn good!
Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Ah, the good ol' days!
Walking up to Total gas station everyday for our "snack". All the pot we'd smoke and go back to your house and eat all the food in the house ~ and I can write that without fear of getting in trouble! The time we left the pool and almost gave Perry a coronary...all because Dan Weisand was having a party! We were running around in our bikinis down the street like fools and soaking wet to boot! I think the lie we told was we were kitty corner at Tricias! LMAO, there are alot of fun times to look back on.
Now we have the joy of our kids doing the same to us! Come on now WARDEN JORDAN!!! You have finally stepped up into her shoes!!! She is surely missed! She did love everyone, thats for sure. Always had a smile! And 'Dad' with his southern drawl...the time we stole the Phoenix and it stalled behind McDowell as Jeff was chasing us in his car! OMG. There is tons! How about "SHOULD I SIT OR STAND???" Now that was HILARIOUS!!!!!
I'm sure there will be many more, but they will be "adult" moments. Not kid stuff anymore. WAH!!!
We've caused enough trouble in our adult days already!!!
Too bad we can't go back for just one day, well, I'd like to ask for a month. But life is life and we must move on!
Oh, and btw...I started having dreams about Dave Richardson again! UGH! What is up with that???? Yeah, and I still remember you showing him all the letters I'd write to you about how gorgeous he is/was!!!! But it worked out, I got him! Thank you, thank you! LOL.
Life really isn't that bad as long as we do appreciate the things we have. If we didn't, why live? Too many things that we have to be thankful for.
Ok, well, this isn't my blog so I don't need to write a novel! I'll probably be talking to you on the phone in an hour! LOL.
Love ya honey!
We have had so many moments...you and I! So many memories to look back on. What a trip. I was just thinking about the night we had that science project to do. We stayed up ALL night, and then around 5 am (give or take a few), we finally decided to do the project on Laundry Soap! My mom was screaming at us all night, for laughing like hell. (Wonder if she was related to Newman) LOL Too funny!
Yeah, I completely forgot that it was my doing....you and Dave hooking up! LOL He was adorable. Maybe you are meant to be with him or something...and that's why you STILL have the dreams! That was like 18 years ago girl...that's nuts.
We do have it really good though. Just look at us now! We may not be wealthy...but we certainly have "rich" lives!
Love ya.
