Happy Birthday Tyler!

Dear Tyler,

I know that you have been counting the days for about a month, and now, the day is finally here! It's so hard to believe that you are 10 years-old buddy!

How far you have come in the past few years. You have really changed alot, and I'm very proud of you for that. You used to be so hard-headed, never wanting to listen to anyone...just wanting to do what you wanted to do! I really don't see that in you anymore. If I ask for your help, you are there. Without an argument, (for the most part). Ha ha! I guess it's a sign of you growing up. Boo hoo for mama, cuz I wish I could keep you just like this forever!

I'm also very proud of how well you do in school. Even though I know, at times, it's very hard for you to concentrate on what you should be concentrating on. I see you trying to work on that, all by yourself. That is another sign of how big you are getting.

When you were little, I loved the fact that you were mama's boy, that I was always the one that you would turn to. That means more to me than you will ever know. Remember us telling you about the way that you would be great for the babysitter all day long...that is, until daddy picked you up?! He would call me at work, not knowing what to do because you just cried and cried, and as soon as mom would get home, you were smiling and happy again!

I remember not wanting to cut your hair either...it was blonde, curly, and beautiful. I just couldn't part with those curls! All your aunts and uncles used to give me a hard time about that one, but I didn't care! I cut it when I was ready to! (And mom must say, I'm sorry for making you look like a real hippie!) =)

All in all, even though you guys can frustrate me to no end, I'm really glad you are who you are, and that I'm lucky enough to have the both of you. I'm also glad that I can always count on you to rub my back and run your fingers through my hair, mom really loves that! (You better not ever stop doing that either, or I might have to kick you out of the house!) Hee hee!

I love you very much Ty, and hope you have a wonderful day!

Puking, pain, and the boat trip!

All last week, I was anxiously awaiting Friday night! I had decided early in the week, that I would be going out with my sister, instead of hanging out with Bri and his kids for the night. I figured that I had no kids, why should I stay home??? By Friday night I was feeling extremely tired, but I decided I was going out anyhow! I tried laying down for a while before leaving out, but kept getting interrupted and finally said the heck with it! I also had no dinner, because I was afraid of the nausea that usually accompanies eating anymore, and thought I was good because I did eat lunch at work pretty late.

I went and picked up my sister around 9. We played a few games of darts, had a few drinks. The waitress also said that we can get our drinks by the pitcher, and that it much much cheaper. I said, "sure, why not". Bad move. The pitchers were not your usual huge pitchers, but probably did give you around 2 1/2 -3 drinks worth. I drank that, along with the other 2 I had previously, and a shot. My other sister showed up around then, along with our friend Robin, who wanted to go to a different bar. My oldest sister had just one drink in her, so we decided she would drive us to the other bar.

When we got there, it was packed, though we found a table that would fit all of us. We sit down and order a round. Everything is just fine and dandy. I'm feeling great, having a good time, and finally just chilling and letting loose a little. Around 1:30, my sister and I head to the bathroom...everything is still just fine. We walk out of there and head back to the table and it just hit me like a mack truck. The nausea that hit me, was unbelievable. My oldest sister took one look at me and said, "you are sick, aren't you?" I said, "yep, I HAVE to go home NOW!" She told everyone that she would be back to get them as soon as she could, and we were out the door. She said that I turned from absolutely fine to pasty white within a matter of seconds. On the way home, I had to make her pull over and I was sick as hell! (She didn't really help by gagging with me though...it was only making it worse...but awww, she was trying so hard to be there for me...LOL) After that, I felt almost 100% better and just couldn't wait to crawl into bed and pass right out. Only problem was, that when I actually crawled into bed, it only made me feel sicker! LOL Yes, I was sick again and again. Was not a fun night! I think I finally got to bed around 3 a.m.

Just a word of advice for those out there with kidney stones...DRINKING IS NOT A GOOD IDEA!!!

Saturday morning, Brian was at the house before 9. We had planned on going to the lake for the day, only I really didn't feel up to it! Wonder why?! LOL I did force my still half drunk self up, washed my face, brushed my teeth and hair, got dressed, and we left. I'm really glad I pushed myself into going, it turned out to be one of the most relaxing days I've had, in a very long time. I did have some pain for a while, but I lazed around sort of drifting in and out of sleep (well, as much as you can drift off, with a million people around), and when I got up, I felt much better.

Yesterday I slept in until 10, and only got up then, because the phone was ringing. We had a meeting at 3 for our boat trip, and a ton of running around to do before going there. So, I pretty much had to just get up and get ready to go. I got no cleaning or laundry done. Awww...isn't that a bummer? (And yes, my dryer was finally installed on Friday, and I love it!)

The boat meeting went well, we decided on what we were going to eat for the 10 days we are there, and made up grocery lists for before and during the trip. We also decided where everyone was going to sleep. The boat has 6 bedrooms, (some of which, aren't too big!) Brian offered for us to sleep in the smallest one, (also referred to as the playpen, cuz it's so tiny). He's 6'3",and that should be really fun, considering they say you can barely stand upright in it! Oh boy!

That's about it for my weekend. Hope everyone had a good one and a has a good Monday!

So-ooo "stoned".....

For about a month now, I have been feeling a little "off". I have been struck with severe bouts of nausea, have felt feverish, and had this nagging ache/pain in my mid back.

About 4 weeks ago, I went to see my Primary doc, who thought it really sounded like gallstones. Fine! I have my blood drawn, she orders an ultrasound. I get my labs back, they are pretty normal, schedule the ultrasound, and the next available is July 24th, ok, I set it up.

Yesterday while at work here, I was attempting to eat lunch. Peanutt had just made us a Waldorf salad. Yummy. I got a few bites in, and just started feeling like crap again. I was nauseated, felt like I had a fever, and had this terrible pain in my back. I told Peanutt that was it, I was heading to the Emergency Room and I wasn't leaving until I had an ultrasound or found out something.

On the way there, I started thinking about it and realized that one of the doc's I used to work with, was over there. I decided that I would pay him a visit. They thought it was gallstones, he's a surgeon. If it was gallstones, they would refer me to him anyhow. I walked into his jam packed office. Feeling a little meek, but the pain I felt overrode that and I quickly told the receptionist why I was there. She was also someone I had worked with for many years. She brought me right to the back, had me write down what was going on and went off to find the doc. He had me go right into a room, came in, gave me a huge hug and said that we would get to the bottom of it! Whew, finally someone was gonna help me (and I avoided the 10 hour wait in the ER too). He does his exam and says that he wants either a CT or Ultrasound done ASAP. Woo hoo! That's what I'm talking about! I coulda kissed him!!! In the meantime, while the nurses were trying to accomodate setting this up, he kept coming in to check on me. Come to find out, we couldn't get the testing done at the hospital where he was...(due to my insurance company). He wrote a script for a Cat scan and some pain meds and sent me to another ER and also called and spoke with them prior to my getting there.

I went to that ER, where the doc examined me and they did do the CT. And yes, I do indeed have kidney stones. The doc there told me that they are still in the kidney, but not obstructing anything at this point. Which is a good thing. She said that I can expect more pain and attacks and that I should be able to pass them. I also have to follow up with a urologist, oh and I almost forgot the best part.....I get to strain my urine, each and every time I use the restroom. Lovely!

So, I guess at least I know where the pain is coming from, but who knows how long before it goes away completely. Ugh!!! Everyone gonna pray that I pass a stone very soon???? LOL Ikky, huh?

Well, I'm off of here to drink some water and flush these kidneys out...LOL

The no dryer blues and playing in the rain.

Yes, I am still without the use of a dryer! We did pick it up from the store...it is sitting in the basement...but it has not been hooked up as of yet. His cousin was doing an A/C job and was just not able to get over there yesterday, as we had planned. We actually have a dinner date tonight, so we can't have him come over...so we wait until after work tomorrow.

I JUST WANNA DO MY OWN LAUNDRY, AT MY OWN HOUSE!!! Grrr! LOL

Yesterday, I played in the rain, until I was drenched from head to toe. I recommend it for every adult, every once in a great while. Here is why...

A while back, Brian and I decided to try and fix the lawn in my backyard. (Yes, big emphasis on the word "try" here). We put down compost, we seeded, we even fertilized, we watered daily and up grew nothing but nice, beautiful, very healthy and hearty weeds! Since Brian's job requires that he do restorations of properties where they have fixed water main breaks and dug up their yards to do so, he also must visit the sod farm. When they have leftovers, they can do whatever they'd like with the remaining sod. He has been bringing a little here and there and patching up our little weed gardens. Yesterday, he brought the remainder of what we needed and decided to finish up last night. As we went out to get started, it really looked stormy out, but he was really determined to get this finished. We start hauling all these rolls of sod from the side of the house, to the back. Of course, it starts pouring. I figure once he transfers them, he will be done for the night but, oh no, he figures it's as good a time as any, and he'll stay cool in the process. I stayed out helping for as long as I could, and I must say, not only was it refreshing, but it was kinda fun. I remember playing in the rain as a kid, and I LOVED it. Granted, this wasn't as much fun as it was way back when, I was covered in mud and filth, but the concept was still the same. This now will be a requirement for me, every now and then. So what that I'm an adult, so what that it totally wigs out my hair, so what that I will have to take the time to shower for the 2nd time in one day...it's awesome to be a kid for even a few minutes and totally worth it! When was the last time you played in the rain, or did something that brought you right back to your childhood?

We also sucked it up and went on a quest to find a new remote for the TV. Silly kids! They swear they just have no idea where it has gone. Yeah right! Anyhow, we just bought a cheapie universal and I swore that I'd hide it before leaving for work, so they don't "lose" it again. (Yes, I already forgot to do that this morning! LOL) That trend really lasted!

I also got Corey the new HP book at target yesterday. He was so excited and surprised. I love that look on their faces, when you do something that they just think is, "the bomb". LOL He sat on the porch for hours reading. I think he said he got to page 131! Go Corey! And yes, I am now "cool mom" once again! (This will last about a day).

That's about all for now. Hope everyone has a great day!

P.S. Remember to comment about the last time you played in the rain or did something very child like! LOL

Hodge podge.

I haven't really felt like taking the time to actually post anything of significance lately. I guess I've been a bad, lazy, blogger. I'm sowwy! Really, there hasn't been anything that earth shattering to write about, but here is what's been going on.

The day after getting home from camping, in my attempt to get my never-ending mountain of laundry complete, my dryer went out. It was running and getting hot, but I discovered (after running the towels for 2 cycles), that the drum was not spinning at all. So, for almost 2 weeks now, I've had to take my clothes to Brian's and my sister's house to get them dried. Ugh. Thank goodness Brian's cousin works with appliances, he came over the other day to check it out. Apparently, the bearings are shot, which would be around $90 (at cost) for Chuck to fix. Not a problem, he said he would be happy to do it...but my dryer is 20 years old. I really don't feel like spending almost $100 on something that old. Yes folks, I had to go get us a new dryer. But that's okay, I'm happy with what I chose and I'm sure it will make my life a little less harried. I got the largest capacity dryer (7.1 cubic feet), which also has a nice tumble feature that will not allow your clothes to sit and wrinkle if you don't get to them right away. (That feature is a must for me). Now of course, the salesman assured me that I will be soooo happy with this dryer. Well, I pick it up today, and I better be, or I will come back and see you Mr. Salesman. LOL

The kids have been a slight handful, as usual. I have had to really be on their cases lately, which always makes me feel bad but geesh, get a clue kids! When I walk in from work, it's something new every day. Yesterday, we could not find the remote to the TV in the livingroom. We searched high and low, it still hasn't turned up. We were also missing Max's bowls. Yes, they were all playing in the basement and took them downstairs with them. I also had every light in the basement left on...(we're talking 6 lights here). My electric bill should be nice! Ugh. I realize these are all pretty little, petty things, but come on now...it's all common sense. I'm sure the remote will eventually show up...it's probably outside somewhere, or they broke it, and hid it carefully. Who knows? I guess I'm just aggravated by it all!

Corey also got really upset with me this week, because he will not be going on a trip to Washington with the scouts. He tried pushing all the blame on me, even stating that it was, "all my fault". When in fact, he can also look at his father, who is equally responsible for him not going. I explained all of this to him, in an adult manner. Without accusing anyone, or pointing fingers. I was only being factual, and trying to make him understand that I'm a single mom, doing my very best to make it on my own, with very minimal help from his father. It didn't seem to make things any better. I feel really bad that he isn't going, but you know, if his dad would help out in the way that the court has deemed he should, the kids and I would be a little better off. (He is responsible for a measley amount of child support and also 56% of uncovered medical, including prescriptions, and daycare expenses. The only thing he pays, is his very small amount of support, and that's only because the judge will ship him off to jail, if he doesn't). I feel like I just can't win!

On a good note, our trip to the lake yesterday was very therapeutic! We went to Wamplers Lake, which is about an hour and 10 minutes from us. I had never been there before, but was really glad I got the chance to check it out. It's a bigger lake than our usual spots and very very beautiful. With it being a slightly bigger body of water, the waves are MUCH bigger. There weren't too many people out there, and some parts of the water were very calm, but Brian found some REALLY big waves to jump. He makes me a nervous wreck, so I did have to try and stay away from him and just do my own thing on the other side of the lake, keeping an eye on him from time to time. I'm not a dare-devil on the water, I value my life too much! Not that I won't have fun, but I'm not getting thrown off, without it being my own doing!!!! LOL

This weekend and next are already crammed full of events, there is no rest for the weary! LOL Although this Saturday, weather permitting, we are heading out to the lake for the day. Sunday is a meeting for our August boat trip, to discuss; meals, who is responsible for what while there, etc. etc. Next weekend, we have a pig roast all day on Saturday and a family reunion on Sunday. My ex is also taking my kids for that following week and Brian and his kids are heading up north, I will be free as a bird. No kids and no Brian. Think the break from everything will certainly do me good. Will keep you posted, when the time comes.

Well, that's about it. And I thought I didn't have much to say! LOL What a novel.

Off to the lake...

I was just thinking earlier, that it had been about 2 weeks since I've been to the lake, and that today would have been the perfect day to skip work and just go....

A few hours later, Brian called and asked if I wanted to go after work! Of course I do! LOL So, I have a date after I leave here. Counting the minutes...(48 to go)....

Brian and I at the lake.

This is all the kids camping and another pretty sunset!

A few pics to share...

Here is a sunset that was taken while camping!

This & That.

Hello! Hope everyone had a great weekend. Really have nothing spectacular to write about. As usual, the weekend flew by. Friday night was pretty uneventful, just chilled out at home. As for Saturday, I cleaned, did some laundry (at my sister's, because my dryer puked on me!), then hung out with Brian and the boys. Yesterday, we went to his parent's house for his "birthday" dinner, then drove to his ex wife's house. I may have mentioned a while back, that she moved about 75 miles away. He had never been there, and since we weren't doing anything, we decided to check it out. The look on her face was priceless!!! LOL Made the 1 1/2 hour drive totally worth it! He also got to see his kids for a few, which was nice. Though, they were at the beach, and when we walked up, her boyfriend was in the water throwing around his son. Like they were just one big happy family. I was pretty hurt, for him. I know it had to break his heart. Such is life, when you are divorced. Oh well.

Anyhow, how was your weekend? Do anything exciting? (Told ya I didn't have much for ya!)

Oh, I've also been having tons of problems posting pics on here. It says to wait a few moments and then just never posts it! Any suggestions?

Should I call the psychiatrist????

Ok, I am well aware that kids do really crazy "kid things" sometimes...but let me know if you think this one is a little over the top??? (Wish I had a pic as proof, but my accounting of the events, will just have to do.) Here goes...

While on vaca last week, our puppy had to go to the kennel, as some of you may or may not be aware...he gets VERY car sick. Dramamine, doesn't even cure this ailment...it does allow him to go a little further before puking his guts out, but he does still eventually get sick. So, he goes to the kennel all last week. We get back on Saturday afternoon, and I run right over to pick him up. According to them, everything went "just great", and he was "awesome" during his stay there. Yeah, right!

Since he has been home, he has had very bad diarrhea and several "accidents" in the house every single day. Now, I love my dog very much, but picking up his little creations can really get to me. Not every single time, but if I get even a slight whiff of the overpowering stuff (especially with Clorox Clean-up mixed), I will go into a gagging fit, that will have even those with iron guts, wanting to wretch themselves. If Brian is around, he will do the deed himself, because seeing my tear-streaked face and hearing my dry heaving really grosses him out.

This leads to the interesting part...

Now that the boys are there during the day, they are responsible for taking care of the dog while I'm at work. Well, he doesn't wait for mommy to have his accidents, so they have had to clean up a few themselves. Yes, this is a disgusting job, but we have all wood floors, which makes it somewhat easier for them. However, apparently after I left this morning (relieved that I didn't find any messes before leaving), he did leave another care package for the boys. I would have never known this, but Brian had to pick up the dog and take him to the groomers at 9. He got back with him around noon, went to let him outside and noticed the beautiful putrid pile in the kitchen. When he asked the kids when it had happened, their reply was, "I don't know!" He said, "give me a break", and asked them again...they said it had happened earlier in the morning. Upon closer inspection, he notices that it was not only the usual download...but was covered in something which Brian could not figure out. He asks the boys, what they did to Max's doodie....

(If I were to make you guys guess on this one...you would NEVER figure it out...I guarantee it!)....

Yes folks, my wonderful children sprinkled Max's poop with cinnamon and pepper! I honestly just don't know what to make of this...I'm at a loss here...

Ugh!

Happy Birthday Corey!

Dear Corey,

It's hard to believe that 12 years have actually passed since welcoming you into this world. I will never forget how much I enjoyed the 6 weeks I had with you before going back to work, when you were born. It was our time...just you and me! My favorite part of every single day, was when you and I would take a nap on the couch...you would always cuddle up and fall asleep right on my chest. You were the happiest baby, always full of smiles and love. Everywhere we went, you drew attention because of how beautiful you were.

As a toddler, you were always full of energy and just a bundle of joy to have around. I remember taking you for a walk around nana's neighborhood, it was right around Easter time. This lady had decorated a tree in her front yard with little bunnies...you went crazy over this tree and the lady went crazy over you. Well, because you loved the tree so much, she broke off a huge branch of it, just to give to you. You walked around with that silly tree branch full of bunnies for days on end!

Your first day of kindergarten, you weren't like a lot of the other kids...you weren't crying and clingy, you weren't scared at all. You walked right in like you had been there a hundred times before. I remember you were smiling and grinning from ear to ear and inside my heart was breaking, because you were so big and it was almost like you didn't need your mommy anymore. When all was said and done though, I was glad for you...glad that you were secure enough that you felt like you could do it all on your own.

You have done so well in your first 7 years of school. You have made me very proud! It's hard for me to believe that you are on your way to middle school. I hope that you will love it, just like I did!

Through the years, I know that we have had some good and bad times. We have been through alot! But we have always stuck together and I want you to know, that we always will. I also want you to know, that I understand you are going through a ton of changes right now and that I remember going through the same things that you are. It's not always easy being 12. If you need to talk about anything, if you need a friend, you can always feel free to come to me. I'll always be there for you.

Last thing I want to say is that I appreciate all the little things you do to try and help me. Simple things like helping out with Max, mowing the lawn, and trying to keep your brother in check while I'm at work, really mean the world to me....and so do you Corey.

I love you more than words can say, buddy!

Couldn't I have just one more week???

How is it that a normal work week takes forever, yet you go on vacation, and it's over in what feels like the blink of an eye??? Can anyone tell me that??? LOL The past 10 days flew by so quickly, but I did enjoy myself. (And if nothing else, I didn't have to work!) ::wink wink::

The camping adventure started off a little rocky, but everything fell into place, right around the 3rd day. (Yes, about halfway through the trip!) I think there was a curse on us in the beginning...

First, before we even got 10 minutes from home, I almost jack-knifed with the camper! I won't relay the whole story, but will defend myself in that, I had NEVER backed up ANYTHING while I have a trailer of any kind attached. That being said, no damage was done, luckily. We made it to the campground (which is only an hour from home, and 5 minutes from Brian's sisters house), in about 2 hours. Was there traffic you ask? Or maybe accidents? No, there was not. We were going by directions from the internet, and were letting my 12 year old read us, these silly directions. We totally missed the correct street, we back-tracked for miles, we were hot and aggravated...etc. I'm sure you can imagine...it wasn't looking pretty. It was sweltering, and Brian was to the point where he said, "I don't even care, I'm just gonna keep driving!" Ugh! I felt big fights becoming a possibility on that first night. Anyhow, he called his brother-in-law, who directed us. It was right down the road from his sister's place. Duh!

So, we eventually made it to the campground, started setting up, and as soon as we pulled out the beds on the pop-up, here comes the downpour! It rained ALL night and into the next morning. Good thing we had the foresight to bring a TV, X-Box, and the DVD player. (Or so I thought!) The next day, everything was damp and it was pretty chilly, but it did end up clearing enough that we could get out on the water for a bit.

The lake was pretty nice, though it could be a little mucky in some areas! Ick! It did also open up to a chain of 7 other lakes, which was pretty cool. To get to the other lakes, we had to navigate through channels and tunnels. Sometimes these channels and tunnels were really really small, but that was one of the very best parts of the whole trip to me. I wish that I had taken my camera with me on the waverunner, but I didn't wanna take the chance of it getting wet. We saw; thousands of flowers of all different shapes and sizes, tons of dragonflies, cranes, tons of fish, some beautiful old farm houses right on the water..etc I love stuff like that! The kids had a ball seeing all of that too.

Brian's mom, sister, and nieces came out for one day. It turned out to be one of the prettiest days of the trip. He actually took his 67 year-old mother out on the waverunner and she loved it!!! She came back saying that she had so much fun. We had a picnic lunch that day and afterwards, all the kids buried Tyler in the sand. They swam and all took turns on the waverunners. (Yes, they slept really good while on this trip!) LOL Of course we roasted marshmallows and made smores as many nights as we could, weather permitting.

All in all, it was a pretty fun trip. I neglected to mention that my kids were pretty terrible the entire time, and I even had to threaten to take them home early, but in spite of that, I did do a limited amount of relaxing, got a bit of sun, and made some new friends while there. Look forward to camping as much as we can, maybe minus kids on a few occassions! LOL

Well, that's about it for now. Hope everyone is doing well.

Fun, fun, fun!!! =)~~

As you all know my birthday was Tuesday, and I wasn't too thrilled about it. However, it turned out to be a really nice day. Brian took the kids and I to dinner at Carrabba's. The food was excellent and Tyler ate like I've NEVER seen him eat before. He usually only nibbles at things, never really actually consuming very much, but for some reason, he must have been ravenous. He ate all of his meal, and then actually asked for some of mine. He gobbled about a quarter of mine and then finished it off with the sundae that I had gotten (after the whole waitstaff sang me "Happy Birthday"...dammit Brian!) Afterward, he proclaimed that he now LOVED Carrabba's! LOL

After leaving there, we were all stuffed to the gills, but the kids really needed haircuts, so off to the hair salon we went! Tyler was very excited to get his hair cut really short! "Ummm...will you get rid of all of these please?" (pointing to his bangs) LOL Now, Corey is a completely different story! He is in this phase where he wants to "let his hair grow". Ugh. His hair is the type of hair (like mine), that requires brushing ALOT! It is sort of in-between thin and thick and just really looks better, a little on the short side. I figure he is almost 12 and can make some decisions...so I let him have his way. It is just hair. The stylist was very good and actually spent some time with him, even though she had many people waiting, which I really appreciated! She did talk him into thinning out some of the bulk and cutting layers into it, which I was very happy about. Needless to say, we all left the hair salon very happy. (And perhaps the kids felt a little lighter without all that hair on their little heads!) LOL Nothing much after that, just went home and watched a movie and then went to bed. It certainly was a nice relaxing day though. I could handle every birthday being just like this one!

Oh, I forgot to mention that on Tuesday, we also found out that our office is moving to another location. We've known that this could be an issue for a while now...our lease is up the end of September. I have mixed feelings about this move. The clinic we are actually moving to, is one that I worked at for about 8 years and left because I was pretty unhappy there. They have reassured us that we are basically taking the clinic we work in now, and just moving it there, but I still just don't know. Where we are now, we don't have administration lurking around, we have a very relaxed environment here, we can pretty much come and go as we please during the day. Say if we have a doctor's appointment, or need to run and pick something up, we can basically just pick up and go, whenever we want to. Another staff member will just cover while we are gone. Our hours aren't set in stone, we stay late sometimes, and leave early sometimes. It just depends on the day. I'm sure that there will be definite benefits, and the change might be good, but I will definitely miss being out here. =( Change is good, right?

Yesterday, was work as usual and then off to the lake after. Brian called about 4 and said it was just hot and nasty out, "why don't we just head to the lake?!" I thought it sounded good to me, it was pretty miserable out. After work we met at the house, changed into our suits, picked up my boys and headed out to Portage Lake. This is only the second time that the kids have been on the waverunners. They were very excited!! When we first pulled up to the launch, there were about 10 bass boats there...shit! There was a bass tournament going on! We were thinking it would make the small lake, very busy. It wasn't bad at all though. The bass boats aren't moving a whole heck of alot, and basically stay by the shore, so the lake stayed pretty calm. Brian and I each took turns taking the boys on the back of our machines, they had a great time! I don't know how many of you have experience in riding waverunners (jet skis), but one of the best parts, is actually getting thrown off the machine. The boys were both begging to do this! LOL I took Corey out and actually turned just right and sent us reeling backwards into the water! He got his wish! We were cracking up! Unfortunately, for some unknown reason, I COULD NOT get the machine to tip with Tyler on the back. I tried clipping along pretty fast, then cutting the steering wheel really hard, nope, notta, nothing!!! I tried doing complete 360's, the back end would go under for a second, and then pop right back up! This went on for a good half hour, and finally I just said forget it. It was getting too late, we had to get off the water. I wish that I could have made it happen for him, but oh well, he still had a blast! Besides, we are going all next week. Will have to try again...maybe we'll have better luck!! We got home around 10:30 and just basically went right to bed. I don't know what it is about being on the water, but it really makes me hungry and tired. I guess it's probably being in the sun! Dunno!

So, that's what I've been doing the past couple days. It's been fun! I'm a happy camper! I hope your days have been just as nice. (I'm about to find out right now). Here I come bloggers! LOL

My Birthday!

Yes, today is my birthday. Not a real big deal to me anymore...just another day. Nothing too exciting planned for tonight. The kids will be with their dad, and I think Brian is just planning on taking me to dinner. No hoopla at my age.

I was thinking about it yesterday...I remember the days when I would do a countdown until my birthday...just like you did for Christmas. When I had visions of all the wonderful things that would happen when I reached all those landmark birthdays. Couldn't wait until I was 10 (2 digits...LOL), 13 (teenager), 18 (freedom), 21 (could get into bars...and would truly be considered an adult), etc. etc. Somehow, when you hit 30, it's not something you really wanna announce to the world anymore. I guess there are some that still might, but I think it's rare! LOL Oh well...

I have tons to do in preparation for the upcoming "camping trip". I'm sure it will be worth it in the end. However, at the moment, it's certainly stressing me out. LOL

Well, off to catch up on my daily reads!!! Have a great day everyone!!!~

Last one, I promise! The bed was velvet lined! LOL Posted by Hello

Loved this car, everything looked so autentic. Wish I could have gotten a good close up of the interior! (There wasn't much of it!)  Posted by Hello
